Beacon shine light on homeless health

Beacon GP CARE has created a unique programme which brings surgeries together in a bid to become homeless-friendly.

The average life expectancy of a rough sleeper is just 47 years-of-age. And the initiative aims to encourage organisations to better understand their needs and ensure they receive the same quality healthcare that the rest of society enjoys.

The Homeless-Friendly programme will be launched by Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham on Saturday 9th September and will be featured on the BBC1 Inside Out programme.
